Stainless steel and granite structures with carvings based on local artifacts will be lit from within at night. *An architecturally integrated project for Othello Station in Sound Transit’s Link Light Rail system, in which the passage of stormwater collected from the site seems to have had a formative affect on part of the station’s architecture. *Located at Thomas Station in Phoenix’s new Valley Metro Rail light rail system, a series of manually rotated carved stones along an entry walkway creates an incremental transition from a harsh desert environment to the habitability of an oasis - the theme of the station. Water course benches, made of red granite, allow for seating beneath trees on the station’s platform. Richly carved details evidence the “hand of man”. *An artist-made fireplace for a new community center in Federal Way, Washington brings an outdoor experience into the building.
